The World Of War Craft – Dugi’s World Of Warcraft Guide

Posted on Aug 12, 2010 under War of Warcraft | 1 Comment

Starting off in World of Warcraft now can be tricky considering there are so many people who are so far ahead of you. The following guide written by the true ‘pro’ gamers could help you get exactly where you want to be in World of Warcraft.

Actually there are three different guides available for the game. They are

Zygor Guides 2.0

Dugi’s World of Warcraft Guide

Gold Secrets for World of Warcraft

Right off the bat, Dugi’s World of Warcraft Guide is clearly seen for what it is – a top World of Warcraft guide designed to help players out as they adventure through Azeroth and Outlands. As such, it comes with all the bells and whistles that you would naturally expect from such a guide, with its crowning glory being the in-game interface that takes you step-by-step through a leveling path which is optimized to help you get right up to level 80 in no time flat.

If you want, there’s also a printable online version, so you needn’t worry. Although installation of this guide is not anyway near as easy as the Zygor Guides, there are enough instructions included that you shouldn’t find it too much of a trouble. Also, you’ll find further instructions that guide you through the basics of using the guide itself, which is helpful.

Having set up the guide it doesn’t disappoint and gives you everything that you need to help seek out the right quests at the right times so that you don’t waste even a second and are able optimize your leveling.

Class quests are also factored into the ‘recommended path’ which means that you won’t have to worry about having to track back and do them later on. Additionally, there is an in-game talent guide that will help you get your character spec up to scratch.

Frankly speaking, what really stands out about Dugi’s World of Warcraft Guide is the fact that it goes beyond the standard ‘leveling up guide’ and has further information about equipment and instances – both of which are conveniently sorted out in terms of class.

After you hit that much-awaited level 80 this will definitely come in handy as it’ll help your character get the armor and weapons that it needs to truly conquer the World of Warcraft, and point out what you could be working on next.

Unfortunately, when you put this product side-by-side with its main competition (i.e. the Zygor Guides) it falls short in terms of its main in-game interface. Comparatively, it does not have as much comprehensiveness as not all areas are covered, and the path it takes has proven to be slightly slower.

3 steps to have the most fun in the World of Warcraft:

Leveling Your Character From Level 1 – 80

Funding Your Character’s Gold

Dominating Other Players in PVP

Still, it will allow you to get to level 80 a lot faster than otherwise. At $67 for the Alliance and Horde package (or $47 for the individual versions) this guide is ideal for players who want a resource that is going to take them to level 80 and then go the extra mile and help them get the gear that they really need to dominate their opponents.

Despite the fact that it marginally slower than its main competition, it is still worth the investment and makes up for its shortcomings by offering additional goodies such as the instance and equipment guide.http://theworldofwarcraft.us/

World of Warcraft – A Guide to Earning WoW Gold (Part 5)

Posted on Aug 10, 2010 under War of Warcraft | 1 Comment

Building your gold reserve is a very important part of World of Warcraft. As you advance in level, equipment, trade skill materials, and class training cost much more than at lower levels. Padding your bank account will be truly appreciated when the time comes to purchase your first mount and riding instruction as well as advanced forms of both.

Do Not Neglect the Profit of Neutral Auction Houses

World of Warcraft is made up of two separate and distinct factions. The alliance made up of the “good” races and the Horde consisting of “evil” races. A true business man would recognize that any gold is good gold and would never forget that though the other side of the war may come and kill you but they still have gold to spend.

Many times it seems that one side or the other is lacking certain materials for trade skills or items that are used for gaining reputation. If you really want to crank in the cash you must realize this and make use of neutral auction houses.

Create a character which is a member of the opposing faction and move it to a major city to view the auction house. Make note of what you think is going for a much higher price than it is with the other faction. Then use your notes to gather the needed items. Once you have them head off to Everlook, Booty Bay, or Gadgetzan and put them on the neutral auction house.

Once you have your auctions ready log back on to the character you created. Every major city is now connected by a “trade” channel. This channel is used to buy and sell. Use it to announce the auctions that you just created.

As I am writing this guide I am looking at a comparison of the two faction auction houses. The price of some of the more common items such as ore, bars, and cloth may differ by a few gold, but other more exotic items have a difference of 100 gold or more. You will be pleasantly surprised how much money you can make using this simple strategy.

My Free guide we will continue in installment 6 with a continuing discussion of the use of auction houses to explode your bank account. Keep your eyes open for further installments of this guide and you will have everything that you need to rake in big money in the World of Warcraft universe.

World of Warcraft Blacksmithing Guide

Posted on Aug 03, 2010 under War of Warcraft | 2 Comments

This World of Warcraft Mining Guide covers the basics of mining in WoW. With the Burning Crusade expansion, mining has become the most important gathering profession in World of Warcraft. Mining was the most useful profession before the expansion because it was the basis for two crafting professions (engineering and blacksmithing) but, with the addition of Jewelcrafting in BC, mining has become even more important.

For this reason, World of Warcraft mining is the best way to earn gold compared to the other gathering professions. Herbs are useful but only to Herbalists while ores and gems are useful to Blacksmiths, Engineers, and Jewelcrafters.

World of Warcraft Mining – The Basics

The obvious first step is to visit a mining trainer and learn mining as a profession. You can do this starting at level 5. Here’s a list of all the mining trainers in WoW:

Horde Trainers:

* Makaru – Located in the center of the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.

* Brek Stonehoof – Located on the western edge of the center plateau in Thunder Bluff.

* Brom Killian – Located to the south of the bridge leading to the War

* Quarter in the Undercity.

Alliance Trainers:

* Gelman Stonehand – Located on the western side of the Dwarven District in Stormwind.

* Yarr Hammerstone – Located on the eastern edge of Kharanos in Dun Morogh.

* Dank Drizzlecut – Located slightly north of Gol’Bolar Quarry in Dun Morogh.

* Brock Stoneseeker – Located on the southwest side of Thelsamar in Loch Modan.

* Kurdram Stonehammer – Located in the northern area of Auberdine in Darkshore.

* Matt Johnson – Located in the northern section of Darkshire in Duskwood.

Once you’ve trained mining take a look in your spellbook for the “Find Minerals” and “Smelting” buttons and move them to one of your taskbars. Hit the “Find Minerals” button and your minimap will now show yellow circles on the map whenever you’re near a mineral node.

Next, buy a Mining Pick from the mining supplier who’s usually right next to the mining trainer and head out looking for copper nodes (copper is the simplest ore to mine and the only one you’ll be able to mine at the start.)

After you’ve collected some ore, find a forge and use your “Smelting” ability to turn the copper ore into copper bars. If you’re a Blacksmith or an Engineer you can use the bars to craft items or just put the bars up for auction to make some extra gold.

You’ll notice as you mine copper that your mining skill will increase and after awhile copper nodes will turn gray and no longer give you skill-ups from mining them. At this point you’re ready to move onto the next more difficult type of mineral to mine (I’ll show you a table of the mining skill levels needed for each type of ore later).

As you mine in WoW you’ll also run into level caps for your mining skill that have nothing to do with mineral types. These caps are designed to make you achieve a certain character level before allowing you to buy the next mining rank to move past the cap. Here’s a list of the skill caps for each World of Warcraft mining rank:

Skill Requirement for Each WoW Mining Rank (pre-Burning Crusade)

0 : Apprentice

75 : Journeyman

125 : Expert

200 : Artisan

As for me, cats are the best pets in WoW. I also like bears and wolves, but cat is my favorite pet.

Even though WOW Pets do have some limited capabilities such as fighting, similar to real life pets they really don’t do much of anything except provide companionship.
