10 Ways Internet Marketing Helped Me To Play World Of Warcraft

Posted on Jul 19, 2010 under War of Warcraft | No Comment

Article taken from Wow Gold Tips Blog

As many of you have figured out by now I’m not a typical blogger. In fact I wouldn’t even call myself a blogger, but rather an internet marketer who runs blogs for profit. Some people consider this unpure and unethical, but I think of it as providing quality content that is so good that the information can be sold. That being said, having the mindset of an internet marketer has helped me greatly in world of warcraft for several reasons. It has also provided you with a unique look at world of warcraft which you won’t get from any other wow blog on the net.

1. Diversification – I will never ever try to make all my money from one source. Whether it is daily quests for professions, flipping items, crafting for resale, etc. I always diversify my selling options sometimes to the point of hundreds of markets at once.

2. Automation – Getting as much automation into the equation as possible gives you more time which makes you more gold which opens up more oppurtunities to make more gold. Time = gold and automation = tons of saved time. The difference between someone who uses snatch scans and QA3 in combination and someone who doesn’t is the same as the differences between night and day. An example of how automation can work for you is my 22 Steps to Using Auctioneer post.

3. Perception vs Reality – Perception always has to be present to make a sale. Then, when the person has made the purchase then the reality has to atleast live up to the perception. When selling items to buyers scamming them is never the right call because you lose that buyer forever.

4. Never Stop Learning – The world of warcraft is just that, a living breathing world of information. You can never stop learning when attempting to improve on your own performance. New patches, new ideas, and new methods are constantly appearing and it’s the job of a successful businessman to do his reasearch and go find this information.

5. Passive Income > Work – Having farmers send me their goods, especially having farmers mill, prospect, or craft for me before sending the items, has done wonders for improving my income in world of warcraft. After getting enough farmers to send their goods to me on a daily or weekly basis, there is never a reason to go farming ever again in wow. That’s as close to passive income as it can get in this game.

6. Community – Participating in and setting up the JMTC Wow Gold Forums has provided not only myself, but my readers with a place to congregate and freely share ideas about making gold in world of warcraft. It was the JMTC forums that I learned about several great post worthy topics which I have blogged about in the past and put to use in world of warcraft. There’s always someone out there smarter than you or bigger than you, why not learn from them instead of being jealous?

7. You have no control over the market – Yes you can influence the market and perhaps do it more than the average player depending on your gold levels, but you never ever truly control it. This is a hard fact about economics that many players and real world traders have trouble grasping. I can’t stop 300 people from posting ink of the seas 5 gold less than me. Whether you react or don’t react to a market situation is the only quasi-control you have over the market. You have influence, but no control.

8. Credibility is Everything – I could not sell carrying packages for 1800 rating in 2’s (and sometimes 2000 rating) without my gladiator title or youtube videos. Credibility really does follow you everywhere and it is always the difference between making a sale and getting the same old, familiar cold shoulder.

9. No Idea isn’t Worth Trying – Regardless of what you decided to try, it’s never stupid to try it out and take a risk. When I first started selling essences of undeath I had no idea whether the lifestealing enchant would be enough of a market to sell them. Boy was I happily underestimating how many I would sell and for how much. Soon I was selling them for 400-800% of the cost to initially buy them for reflipping purposes. Never say never.

10. Grouping Up has its Benefits – Just like in online marketing, grouping up with a team of people has tremendous advantages for making additional income. By focusing on group strengths and dividing up tasks based on those strengths, in this case professions, you can greatly increase the gold generated by the group. Setting up professions for specific characters and dividing up the work between multiple players/characters has worked out surprisingly well for me. Currently I have loose agreements with three other high profile sellers on my server which allows us to avoid stepping on each other’s toes and focus on our own areas of making gold. We have eached picked a set group of items for each profession as well as times of posting and we try to avoid undercutting wars between the four of us. It’s mostly an informal and unorganized thing regarding the time of our postings, as we simply look at who’s on and decide based on that for ourselves but it’s still a loose grouping of people with the aim of achieving a similiar goal: more gold for everyone.

World of Warcraft: the big name in gaming industry

Besides World of Warcraft, there isn’t any single MMOG title that has been able to arrive nearby the global success of Guild Wars, which is an absolutely free-to-play title that Arena.net offers. By developing an awesome game that both Eastern and Western players could entertain, Guild Wars has ultimately found itself into a huge, strong competition against the World of Warcraft. When I was on my way to write as many reviews as possible about MMOGs, I figured out that Guild Wars is something that desperately requires a review, thus, here’s a bit effort from my side in such an attempt. Luckily, I was able to locate out an old copy of this game when fishing all the way through my CDs library.

Thankfully, the game still ran perfectly even though there was a snag that I came across. When it comes to installing Guild Wars, it’s necessary for the gamer to secure registration by creating an account prior to enjoying this game and the process requires a valid email address. When I was first getting started with this process, I realized that I had no longer access to it since the email address that I provided throughout the registration process was my first ever email address that I had created some eight years ago. However, I still found it easier to precede the entire process as the customer support that NCsoft offered was outstandingly superb! I was shocked when I found that I’m having access to the online games once again just within a couple of hours after I asked for assistance with the concerned customer support. Indeed, it was my better experience ever when it comes to dealing with customer support. Soon after I complete the entire process of installation, I immediately get started with thisfree online games. Honestly speaking, the game was quite better beyond my expectation.

At least, I was not regretting on my decision to give a try to this game as I usually experience after trying many others game out there. In fact, I really enjoyed the game and spend my four hours exploring the game and its features, leaving my tuition classes behind, which is unbelievable! In nutshell, there is an obvious reason why the game, Guild Wars, is being able to take the entire gaming industry by storm. I strongly recommend you to try this game at least once as it’s something that you shouldn’t miss if you’re a true game enthusiastic.

There is 10 million members playing online in a ‘Realm’ which is a world full of different characters. The amount you have to pay per month is £9.00! Which to some may seem alot of money, to pay per session overall in a year each member pays: £108, Blizzard Entertainment earns £1080,000,000 a year.

The World Of Warcraft game was is about 2 teams the Horde and Alliance which were in 2 wars before hand and now building up their cities and making a large army to fight their opposition but, the whole army is away at the war and its up to the online multiplayers to fight for their rights and their life. The whole aim of the game is unknown as it seems to be never-ending which is very good for the company so they earn more money as the game is growing and growing. You start in a safe area depending on your team The Horde or The Alliance. Horde known as the ‘Evil Side’ of the game consists of Trolls, Orcs, Tauren, Undead and Blood Elf’s, each race has a special skill known as a ‘Racial Passive Skill’ like with the trolls ‘Beserking’ which enables you to have more rage and run speed increases.

Alliance consist of Gnomes, Dwarfs, Night Elf’s, Draenie, and Human, as the same as the horde they have special racial abilities like with the Gnome’s when trapped in a freezing/trap effect they can escape from it. The game starts in a small town where you have to complete quests for the people in the town to prove you are worthy of the alliance/horde side, every quest you complete you gain experience which then makes you gain levels the highest being 60 but 70 if you have the Burning Crusade expansion pack which includes a whole new island/world. The games cost £15 for the original game which consists of 5 disks which does take up approximately 6Gigabytes of your hard drive space and you need at least 512 Mb RAM to play as it is very realistic and takes up alot of memory to run the large programme.

The website for this massive online game is known as an addiction and considered suitable for ages 13+ as the game does involve swearing and fighting. My rating is definately 5Stars if you are looking for a game which gives you a sense of achievement and takes up spare time very easily.

World of Warcraft – Best Alliance Race

Posted on Jul 16, 2010 under War of Warcraft | No Comment

Humans started as the good guys in the Warcraft saga, forced to battle against the evil and chaotic Orcs in the first two games, Orcs and Humans, and Tides of Darkness. In warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, the humans become more of a neutral race, committing both good and evil acts. This brings us closer to out real world understanding of Humans, that there is no black and white, just shades of grey.

In terms of game story, the Humans started as peaceful beings throughout the Eastern Kingdom, and were forced into a militaristic role when the Orcs came throughthe Dark Portal. The two races have been in conflict ever since.

The Orcs were victorious in the first great war(cronicalled in Warcraft I) killing the Human king, sacking Stormwind keep and forcing the humans to retreat Dunkirk style, across the Great Sea to Lordaeron. In the second war(Tides of Darkness) the Humans formed the Alliance, which consisted of the seven human nations, the elves, the dwarves and the gnomes. The Humans have the upper hand in most of this battle, driving the Orcs back and closing the Dark Portal(even though they were betrayed by Alterac, one of the Human nations).

The victory was short lived, because with no common enemy the Alliance crumbled back into it’s component parts, and when the Orcs reappear in Reign of Chaos. Thrall escaped from his enslavement to reform the Orcish Hordes, the Undead sweep across Lordaeron, Prince Arthas Menethil is corrupted by the horde and slays his father.

Arthas’s lover, Jaina leads an expedition of the Alliance races to Kalmindor, allies with the Orcs and Night Elves and defeats the scourge and the Burning Legion.

In the World Of Warcraft, the once dominant humans are scattered around the world, disconnected and disorganised.

Star Wars Online Role Playing Game

Posted on Jul 14, 2010 under War of Warcraft | No Comment

Name another movie that causes people to fall in line in all major movie houses days before its official distribution.

Name another movie that has endured the test of time, and 23 years after its release, is still hailed as a technological wonder in modern day cinema.

Name another movie about a time long, long ago, and a place far, far away, that has captured the imagination of three generations and still remains as a force to reckon with in the future.

Better yet, don’t name a movie. Name a franchise that is capable of all the above.

Indeed, we are talking about Star Wars. Its success, both artistic and commercial, has transcended the confines of the silver screen into the annals of popular culture. Every product related to the franchise is awaited with bated breath. And Star Wars Galaxies is no exception.

Star Wars Galaxies Was The Most Anticipated MMORPG Prior To Its Release

Star Wars Galaxies is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) that spans the known universe of George Lucas’ two trilogies. From the imperial world of Coruscant, to the dessert fields of Tatooine, to the jungles of Endor, Star Wars Galaxies perfectly represents George Lucas’ vision of his fictional universe. You could travel via a variety of interstellar ships. You could even partake of professions straight from the films themselves, like the medic, the scout, the brawler, the marksman, the entertainer, and the artisan. You’d have to pattern these professions according to the race you would choose for your character.

And Star Wars Galaxies is an MMORPG abundant with races! Whether you want to be a human like Luke Skywalker or Han Solo, or a Wookie like Chewbacca, or one of the more obscure races like the Mon Calamari or the Rodians, Star Wars Galaxies got you covered. Your race will determine your proficiencies in this MMORPG. Wookies are stronger, for instance. Humans are more balanced.

Star Wars Galaxies was the most anticipated MMORPG before it was released late in 2005. People waited for years, holding off subscriptions to other MMORPG programs, just to see what Star Wars Galaxies has to offer. The advance orders for this MMORPG are astounding. It is one of the bestselling games of 2005, even before it was officially distributed!

But Is It True That Star Wars Galaxies Is Just An MMORPG For The Fans?

There’s no denying the popularity of the Star Wars franchise to majority of our populace. As a result, anything related to the franchise is met with the highest of expectations.

In fact, these expectations are often very high that the products so released fail to meet them. This is the fate that befell Star Wars Galaxies.

Star Wars Galaxies is not a bad MMORPG, mind you. It’s just that people expected so much from this game. Star Wars Galaxies was to be their chance to live the life of a jedi or a bounty hunter, or perhaps even a hutt. But like most MMORPG programs, Star Wars Galaxies is bound by certain limitations, technical and otherwise.

As a result, people did not get everything that they have come to expect. And Star Wars Galaxies was widely viewed as a disappointment. People failed to see the splendors that the game offered. Instead, they dwelled on what this MMORPG is not.

Not all the geographies of the Star Wars universe were represented in the MMORPG, for example. And this is a big deal for many diehard Star Wars fans. In the same light, not all the races made it to this MMORPG as well.

And though there are a wide variety of professions available in Star Wars Galaxies, a majority of them are not really that engaging. Let’s face it, an MMORPG can be quite a repetitive experience, and no game is spared from this. What more when you have go through such an MMORPG doing some menial chores?

Star Wars Galaxies is also overly complicated for an MMORPG. Instead of three basic meters for HP, MP and SP, which is the usual fare for most MMORPG systems, Star Wars Galaxies has 3 meters for each category, jacking up the total number of meters you should be aware of to nine. This is quite daunting, even for the most dedicated player.

Star Wars Galaxies Remain A Force To Be Reckoned With In The MMORPG Scene

Nonetheless, with familiar places and characters, a faithful soundtrack, and a gamut of movie-inspired missions, Star Wars Galaxies is an excellent addition to the ever-expanding plethora of MMORPG offerings. It will appeal to fans of the films, most of all, but it has enough exciting features to capture the interests of MMORPG aficionados the world over.

No wonder that it has remained as one of the MMORPG programs with the most number of subscriptions, despite its flaws. Truly, Star Wars Galaxies has the Force by its side.

The Inside Scoop on the Game Star Wars – The Republic

Posted on Jul 12, 2010 under War of Warcraft | No Comment

There is a stereotype to Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPG), such as World of Warcraft. It is not something with wide range appeal with people who are not into science-fiction games. Think about Wii Mario Kart. Everyone enjoys playing it. It is something you are able to do as a group and online. However, the same market appeal does not apply to the World of Warcraft market. There is a disconnect…until now.

The highly anticipated Star Wars: The Old Republic is announced to be released by LucasArts and BioWare. It is a big deal. Let me explain by using myself in the description.

Personally, I have no desire to try World of Warcraft, but when you add the name Star Wars to a game title, involve the elite entertainment company BioWare in the creation of the game, then you have sparked my interest.

World of Warcraft is considered the highest profitable massive multi-level online game capturing the global market. It has earned over $2 billion in the United Sates and almost $3 billion in Asian Markets. It continues to grow in popularity and earnings, but it does not capture those who have never tried multi-player online games. It is still designed to a specific market. However, with the global appeal of the Star Wars franchise name, the numbers are expected to surpass World of Warcraft. Star Wars is synonymous with mass appeal. It may be the first science-fiction game grabbing the attention of first time players internationally. It is one of the driving forces behind the excitement of the release of this game.

Another reason why experts, gamers, and fans are excited is due to the involvement of BioWare. BioWare has a unique ability behind storytelling for each game released. They know how to grab a user’s attention, and make you yearn more through computer, console and handheld games. BioWare is at the forefront of these games creating story lines, dialogue and action consumers want. Combine BioWare’s talents with the remarkable graphics of LucasArts and you have a winning combination.

According to the official website, the game takes place “thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vadar when war between the Old Republic and the Sith Empire divides the galaxy.”

It allows you to select who you would like to be in the adventure. Will you choose to play as a Sith, Bountyhunter, and/or a Jedi? Moreover, in traditional Star Wars fashion, you may decide what path your character will follow meaning do you choose a righteous path or the dark side. Furthermore, you engage in action, battle against others and fight alongside those who seek help. It is action packed, choices galore, thrilling MMORPG game. It is non-stop and allows you the ability to select from a variety of planets, surroundings and circumstances. It is taking the idea of MMORPG and turning it up a notch.

Star Wars: The Republic is expected to be a no holds bar entertainment MMORPG that will outsell anything else generated in the exact genre. It will introduce people who were not interested in similar games to a completely new world changing the MMO industry forever.

Can a World of Warcraft Warrior Survive in a Warhammer Online World?

Posted on Jul 10, 2010 under War of Warcraft | No Comment

With the recent launch of the much anticipated Warhammer Online (WAR), the burning question in many World of Warcraft (WOW) gamers’ mind is how difficult the transition from playing WOW to WAR is going to be. In this article we will examine some of the fundamental differences and similarities between the worlds of WOW and WAR.  Will the transition from one to the other be as seamless as many gamers hope it will be?

Consider the story setting
One of most pronounced differences a WOW gamer will notice when entering the WAR world is the time frame and setting.  In WAR, you are landing in the middle of an all out war of destruction and annihilation! The concept of peace is all but wishful thinking in the Warhammer Online world! If looking for trouble and a fight, there is plenty to find in World of Warcraft, however in most cases you need to go looking trouble. In WAR it is in your face, up close and personal! Even the graphic visual surroundings help to portray this difference in the world settings. The bright colors and cute bunny rabbits hopping around the countryside found in many areas of WOW have been replaced by dimly lit landscapes in WAR, showing the scars of devastation and destruction left by unending battles and blood shed.

Consider the plot
The overall plot of Warhammer Online is by most accounts much more sinister and evil than what exists in World of Warcraft. The forces of evil known as “Destruction” are made up of some very twisted  and perverse races. Conversely the side of good or “Order” is deeply rooted in religion almost to the point of fanaticism. The line between what is “right” and “pure” verses “unjust” and “evil” appears to be much less defined in WAR than in WOW. In World of Warcraft the choice between playing the side of good or evil is pretty straight forward, whereas with Warhammer Online, things may not be as they first appear. Each side, “Order” or “Destruction” have their share of skeletons in their closet!

Consider playable classes
Although Warhammer Online does offer nearly twice the number of playable classes than World of Warcraft, the basic roles filled are essentially the same. You still have healers, tanks, melee dps and ranged dps. The race you decide to play will determine the classes available. So for example if you are used playing the role of a warrior in WOW, in WAR your options would be in the form of Ironbreaker, Black Orc, Swordmaster or Chosen. Obviously this is a rough comparison as each of the WAR characters has been “tweeked” with special racial abilities as well.

Consider rules of engagement
Rules of engagement or combat is very similar in most respects between WOW and WAR.  The main noticeable difference is Warhammer Online combat appears to be slower than in World of Warcraft. This allows the defender more time to react to an attack and prepare an effective defense and possible counter attack back at his opponent. One of the most significant differences between WOW and WAR is in the area of player verses player combat (PVP). The role of PVP is much more important in Warhammer Online. In WOW, PVP is just another interesting option, whereas in WAR, only by doing PVP will you gain a special kind of experience called “reknown” that allows for unique tactics and character improvements not available anywhere else in the game.

Consider questing and leveling.
As in World of Warcraft, quest givers are NPCs marked with a symbol, (green circles in WAR verses yellow exclamation points in WOW), who will give you tasks to complete to help level. Warhammer Online also has several different categories of quest types available ranging from the tradition quest WOW players are used to gain experience, money, and/or booty up to an new type of quest called the “Public Quest” that requires players to band together to accomplish an unique objective based on the WAR storyline. Yet another interesting experience found in the WAR quests, is the Tome of Knowledge, which actually keeps a record of your quests woven into a story-like account.

Consider occupation
World of Warcraft Online players have a wide range of occupations to choose from such as mining, leather working, jewel crafting, alchemy, etc. . Not so in the WAR world. Occupations occupy a much diminished role in Warhammer Online, possibly because you are too busy trying to stay alive! Occupations in WAR are limited to creation crafts of potion-making and talisman-crafting and some minor gathering crafts.

Consider a sense of community
The sense of community or “guilds” plays a much more important role in Warhammer Online than in World of Warcraft. In WAR the traditional reasons for belonging to a guild are to find help with quests, game play advice, raiding groups, money pool, resource exchange, etc. has been greatly enhanced. As WAR players advance, so does their guild, which allows for the attainment of new abilities, guild privileges, and rights by the player.

So, can a World of Warcraft Warrior (or any other WOW class) survive in a Warhammer Online world? Definitely, “yes”! There are however enough differences between the two games to make life interesting and challenging, and there is a new learning curve, (which may or may not be initially steep depending on your WOW gaming background) as with any new gaming experience. To help flatten out the learning curve and get your WAR gaming experience up and running quickly, I do recommend looking into purchasing good Warhammer Online gaming guides for leveling and gold farming.
